Creating a unique antique room scene in Photoshop

Hey friends! Today we are going to build a unique antique room in Photoshop with an unusual pair of boots in the middle. Are you curious to know? Yes you must be wondering what kind of room is this. Well you have to really see it to know so why waste any more time on introduction let’s just count the things for creating this scene. We’ll need a battered old room (an image of course which I’ve taken from Google Images so rights are only of owner), an old portrait photo, a gilded antique frame, a pair of old boots and a pair of feet (all taken from Google Images so rights are reserved for the rightful owners).

Do take a look at the finished picture before going ahead with tutorial.

Step1:-
Open up the old room image. Make it a layer in Photoshop to work on (just double click on it in the layers area).

Step2:-
Open the old portrait photo and cut the main portrait out as shown in the picture below using Rectangle Marquee Tool.

Step3:-
Paste it on our background according to the picture shown below. Re-size it by pressing Ctrl+t.

Step4:-
Open the frame image and cut the frame out of its background.

Step5:-
Paste it on the old portrait and remove the area from middle so the portrait becomes visible.

Step6:-
Now we’ll add drop shadow to the frame. Right click on the frame layer >Blending options and check Drop shadow. Make the settings according to the picture shown below.

Step7:-
Now cut out the old pair of boots from their background and paste on our image according to the picture shown below.

Step8:-
Now add drop shadow to the boots layer. Repeat the process of step6 and make the setting for drop shadow according to the picture given below.

Step9:-
Now we’ll add naked feet to the boots. Cut out a foot from the feet image and paste it on one of the boots as shown below. Blur and blend the edges using soft round shape eraser. Re-size the foot pressing Ctrl+t.

Step10:-
Repeat the same process as step 9 for 2nd foot.

Step11:-
Create another layer, select a soft round brush of size 15px with color #754c24 and paint over the feet. Set the Blend Mode to Soft Light and leave the Opacity 100% to blend the skin color of the feet with boots.

There you have it, your unique antique room is ready with a boot twist. Hope you had fun making it. Share your side of stories. I’ll be back soon, until then take care and be creative.
