Hello people! Today I’ve brought a beautiful image of a girl made of smoke. The effect is amazing in this image and the total outcome is really beautiful. You must be eager to learn how to make this image so without further ado, let us start with the tutorial. First thing first, let’s see what are the things we’ll use for this image? A man smoking a cigarette (taken from bigstock), a picture of a belly dancer and a fractal image (both taken from Google Images so rights are reserved to their respective owners).

Have a look at the finished picture before continuing with the tutorial.

Step1:-
Let’s begin with opening the man’s picture in Photoshop. Double click on the layer to make it working.

Step2:-
Open up the belly dancer image and select only the dancer out of its background using Quick Selection Tool.

Step3:-
Copy the selection and paste it on our working layer. Adjust the size by pressing Ctrl+t.

Step4:-
Now we are going to change the color of the dancer so go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation as shown below.

Step5:-
Adjust the Hue, saturation and brightness according to the picture given below.

Step6:-
Now to enhance the edges go to Filter>Stylize>Glowing Edges as shown below.

Step7:-
Set the edges as shown in the picture given below.

Step8:-
Now you should have something similar to the image shown below.

Step9:-
Now Set the Blend Mode of the dancer layer to Linear Dodge (Add), reduce the Opacity to 62% and fill will be 71%.

Step10:-
Now Select the Smudge Tool and smudge the edges of the dancer to make them look like smoke (not too much, just a touch here and there).

Step11:-
Open the fractal image copy it and paste upon the dancer.

Step12:-
Set the Blend Mode to screen and reduce the Opacity to 75% and make the fill 58%.

There you have it; your smoke girl is complete. Hope you will try it. Share your side of story with me. I’ll be back with some more great effects in Photoshop. Thanks for reading.

Hey friends! Today I’ve brought a beautiful digital art made out of an ordinary image in Photoshop. It’s very attractive and you’ll learn new tricks of Photoshop in this tutorial. You’ll be amazed to know that how some very simple techniques can produce something so wonderful. So without wasting any more time, let us count the things we’ll need for this attractive image. First we’ll need an image (you can take any colorful image of your choice), I’ve taken here a colorful image from bigstock with that all we need is our Photoshop.

Do take a look at the finished picture before going ahead.

Step1:-
Let’s begin by opening the colorful image in Photoshop.

Step2:-
Now go to Filter, then go to Pixelate > Mosaic. Adjust the cell size “8” square as shown below.

Step3:-
Now again go to Filter> Stylize> Find Edges.

Step4:-
Go to Filter again then to Noise > Median. Adjust the radius 2 pixels. As shown below.

Step5:-
To reduce the size of the spots go to Filter> Other> Maximum and adjust the radius 1pixels.

Step6:-
Now go to Image> Adjustments> Invert.

Step7:-
Set the Blend Mode o Screen and leave the Opacity to 100%.

Step8:-
Now again we’ll go to “Filter” then to “Stylize” and select “Find Edges”.

Step9:-
Now go to Image> Adjustments> Invert.

Step10:-
Duplicate the layer 2 times. Now select the first copy and go to Filter> Blur> Motion Blur and set the angle to 45 degree and distance 100 pixels.

Step11:-
Select the 2nd copy and again go to Filter > Blur> Motion Blur. Set the angle to “-45 degree” and distance will be 100 pixels.

Step12:-
Now go to Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Brightness/Contrast and set both at 25 as shown below.

Step13:-
Now our digital star image is complete.

Hope you had a good time going through this tutorial with me and learned something new also. Do share your thoughts and suggestions. I’ll be back with some new images for you soon, till then take care and have fun.

Hey friends! Last night I watched a scary movie (big fan of horror) and that gave me the inspiration for the spine chilling scary looking eyes. In this tutorial we are going to re-visit the techniques I’ve used to make these eyes and you are going to do it with me. So let’s count the main ingredients for our horrifying effect on eyes. First we’ll need a pair of eyes and second we’ll need our favorite Photoshop. Yes that’s right these are the two things we’ll use to make this terrific image.

Take a look at the final image before continuing the tutorial.

Step1:-
So Let us begin with opening the eyes image in Photoshop.

Step2:-
For smoothing out the lines and discoloration go to Filter> Blur> Surface Blur.

Step3:-
Create another layer and select a soft round brush of size 19px with color #d4c7c6 and paint in the eyes as shown below. Erase a bit from the middle according to picture given below.

Step4:-
Set the Blend Mode of this layer to Difference and Opacity 100%.

Step5:-
Now create another layer name it “right eye blood” select a hard round brush of size 25px with color #9e0b0f and paint like a tear coming from right eye as shown below.

Step6:-

Now we are going to give an effect of thickness to the blood and to do that right click on the layer and check on satin. Make the settings according to the picture shown below.

Step7:-
Make another layer select soft round brush of size 2px with white color #ffffff and make spots on the drop end and in the way to give the effect of reflection. Reduce the Opacity to 29%.

Step8:-
Now go to the blood layer and grab the smudge tool and spread a bit of blood in the eye along the lower lash.

Step9:-
Now create another layer draw a drop of blood on the left eye with color #9e0b0f and give some shading with dark maroon color #790000 as shown below.

Step10:-
In this step we are going to darken the eye make-up. Select a soft round brush of size 25px with color #000000 and paint around the eyes as shown below.

Step11:-
Set the Blend Mode of this layer to Overlay and leave the Opacity 100%.

Step12:-
Now we’re going to make some cuts on the face. Select a soft round brush of size 3px with color #9e0b0f and draw some lines as shown below.

Step13:-
Using the same brush as in step 12 with color black#000000 draw on the red lines to give them depth.

Step14:-
Select a brush as shown below like a small twig and give it spacing using brush panel according to picture given below.

Step15:-
Now when you’ll draw over the red cuts it’ll give the effect of stitches.

Step16:-
Select soft round brush of size 2px with color#7d4801 and make some spots on the ends of stitches and then reduce the Opacity to 42%.

There you go. Your spine chilling scary eyes are complete. Hope you learned something new. Do share your views. I’ll be back with some new ideas, till then take care.

Hi guys! Today we’re going to introduce a 3D effect in 70’s retro styled background with the help of our Photoshop. As we all know retro is never out and 3D is the new fashion in town so let’s combine these two and make a unique background image using the simplest techniques in Photoshop. Sounds good? Yes it does. So let’s count the things we will need for this retro image, and that thing is only our Photoshop and nothing else.

Have a look at the finished image before going ahead with the tutorial.

Step1:-
Let us start this retro look by creating a new document in Photoshop of size 784×389 pixels and fill it with the color #630460.

Step2:-
Now we are going to make a pattern on this purple background of ours like old wallpapers, to do that select a floral brush of size 45 with color#400151.

Step3:-
Make the pattern similar to the picture shown below.

Step4:-
Now create another layer and select a Rectangular Marquee Tool and make a rectangle as shown in the picture below and fill it with the color# fbaf5d.

Step5:-
Make another layer, select Pen Tool and make a shape similar to the picture shown below.

Step6:-
Now Right click on the shape and choose Make Selection.

Step7:-
Fill the selected area with color #ffffff then press Ctrl+D to de-select.

Step8:-
Make three more shapes like the white strip using Pen Tool and fill them with colors (pink) # f16eaa, (Blue) # 00bff3, (Green) # 3cb878. Place these strips according to the picture given below.

Step9:-
Make another shape similar to the picture shown below using Pen Tool and then Right click on it and select Make Selection.

Step10:-
Fill it with a darker shade of green color # 1f9257.

Step11:-
Use Pen Tool to make another shape as shown below and after the right click on it choose Make Selection.

Step12:-
Fill it with the color #3cb878.

Step13:-
Now we are going to use Pen Tool again to make two small triangles and fill them with color #ffffff. Place them according to the picture shown below.

Step14:-

Now we are going to add shadow under our beams, for that select a soft round brush of size 25px with color #000000 and draw according to the picture shown below. Set the Opacity to 25%.

Step15:-
Now select the type tool and type 3D with color #ca7010. Right click on the type layer and go to Blending Options then select Inner Shadow. Make the settings according to the picture given below.

Step16:-
Add another type layer and type the words in retro with the color #a47341 and create Inner shadow by right clicking on the layer and selecting Blending Options.

There you go. Your 3D effect in a retro styled background is complete. Hope you had fun. Do experiment with these techniques and create your own unique effects. Share your thoughts. I’ll be back with something interesting for you to create, till then take care.

Hey guys! I’m back with a unique image of an orange peel frog. Yes that is true; you can make amazing images with the simplest techniques in Photoshop, just like the image we’re going to create. It’s unique and amazing to look at. So roll up your sleeves and let’s get to work. The main thing we’ll need for this image is Photoshop (of course) and with that an image of a frog and an image of an orange peel (both taken from bigstock).

Do have a look at the final image of ours before going ahead with the tutorial.

Step1:-
Okay, let’s begin with a new document in Photoshop of size 900×600 pixels. Fill this document with a gradient of black color #000000 and gray color #443d3c from left to right.

Step2:-
Now open up the frog image and copy only the frog out of its background using Quick Selection Tool.

Step3:-
Paste the frog on our background and remove back half of it using eraser. Now paste the whole frog again and remove the front half of it as shown below.

Step4:-
Create another layer and fill it with orange color #f35c1d. Set the Blend Mode of this layer to overlay and leave the Opacity to 100%.

Step5:-
Now we are going to give our frog drop shadow. Right click on the first frog layer and select Blending Options from the drop down menu then check on Drop Shadow. Set it according to the picture shown below. Repeat the process for the 2nd half of the frog.

Step6:-
Open up the orange peel image and cut it out from its back ground, then paste the peel between the two halves of the frog as shown below.

Step7:-
Now we’ll make spots on the peel similar to the spots on the frog skin. Select a soft round brush of size 10px with color #833803 and make spots as shown below. Reduce the Opacity to 75%.

Step8:-
Now make a group of all the layers except background and then duplicate the group by right clicking on the group and selecting Duplicate Group. Then press Ctrl +t and right click on the selection then choose Flip Vertical for the reflection.

Step9:-
Place it according to the picture shown below.

Step10:-
Reduce the Opacity of the copied group to 17%.

There you have it. Your own orange peel frog is ready. Hope you’ve enjoyed this tutorial. Share your thoughts on it. I’ll be back with some more exciting images, till then have fun.

Hello friends! Today we are going to frame a face in a gilded design to portray a goddess with the help of Photoshop. We’re going to create this beautiful image with the help of some photos and some very simple techniques in Photoshop. The whole thing is very attractive and really fun to make. First thing we’ll need is a gilded frame taken from Google Image (so rights are reserved for the owner), second we are going to need a portrait picture of a woman (I’ve taken that from the bigstock) and with these two all we are going to use is our Photoshop.

Have a look at the final result before moving ahead.

Step1:-
We’ll start by creating a new document in Photoshop of size 900×600 pixels. Fill the new document with a radial gradient of colors #49310a and #d0c034 from left to right.

Step2:-
Open up the portrait picture and copy only the face using Quick Selection Tool. Paste the face on our background.

Step3:-
Create another layer and fill it with yellow color #ffff00.

Step4:-
Set the Blend Mode of the yellow layer to Overlay and leave the Opacity 44%.

Step5:-
Create another layer and select a soft round brush of size 25px with color #ec1759. Now paint on the cheeks of the girl and then Set the Blend Mode of this layer to Overlay and reduce the Opacity to 57%.

Step6:-
Open up the gilded frame cut it out of its back ground and paste it on our working image as shown below.

Step7:-
Now we’ll paste the frame again around the face, but this time make it a bit smaller by pressing Ctrl+t.

Step8:-
Now paste a third frame and erase it half from the lower part as shown below.

Step9:-
Cut a small piece of the frame and paste it on the forehead as shown below.

Step10:-
Now cut another piece and paste it on her face as shown below. Set the Blend Mode to Pin Light and reduce its Opacity to 60%.

Step11:-
Now give the frames drop shadow and inner shadow by right clicking on the frame layers and selecting Blending Options from drop down menu and checking the drop shadow and Inner shadow with default settings.

Step12:-
Our framed face is complete. I’ve added a few more things to the image like some straight lines using pen tool.

Step13:-
Furthermore I’ve added some more frames round and square around the image as shown below to add a rusty touch to our picture.

Now our image is finished. Hope you had fun going through the techniques with me. Share your thoughts and suggestions. I’ll be back with some new effects till then have fun and be creative.

Hello people! Today we’re trying a new effect on human face. Yes, that’s right we are going to give a grassy effect to a face in Photoshop. This is something I’ve been thinking of doing for some time, so now I’m going to create this look for you guys. It’s fun to create and you’ll love the results. So let us waste no more time and just start with the ingredients for this image. We will need a portrait picture (I’m using the face of my cousin) and with that an image of the grass (taken from Google Images, so all the rights are reserved to its owner) and after these two images all we need is our very own Photoshop.

Take a look at the finished picture before going ahead.

Step1:-
So let’s begin with opening the portrait picture in Photoshop.

Step2:-
Create another layer and then select a soft round brush of size 35px and the color will be black #000000. Paint around the face as shown in the picture below.

Step3:-
Now reduce the Opacity of this layer to 65%.

Step4:-
Now go to Image>Adjustments and adjust the curves. First for the greens in the picture, set it according to the picture given below.

Step5:-
Now we are going to adjust the blues in the picture with the other curve adjustments. Set it also according to the picture given below.

Step6:-
Now we are going to turn the picture Black n white. Go to Image again>adjustments>Black & White. Set this one also according to the picture shown below.

Step7:-
Open up the grass image in Photoshop, copy the whole image and paste it on our portrait. I’ve erased the area of eyes and lips as you can see below. This you can do after changing the Blend Mode.

Step8:-
Now set the Blend Mode of the grass layer to Hard Light and leave the Opacity to 100%.

Step9:-
Now we’re going to adjust the Hue/Saturation of our grassy image. Go to Image again, then to Adjustments and then select Hue/Saturation. Set it according to the picture shown below.

Step10:-
You can add more color, like I have on the lips in the shape of flowers or different shades of green. Use a soft round brush with a size of 10px and of course the color is of your own choice.

Okay now our grassy effect on a human face is complete. Hope you have learned something new. Do share your comments. I’ll be back with a new tutorial for you soon. Take care.

In this tutorial, you would be learning how to use the basic Photoshop tools to create a planet. Just follow few simple steps with me and you will learn something useful.

Step 1: Texture

Firstly, you would need to download any rusty texture like shown below. Bring the texture on the canvas.

Step 2: Creating a Layer Mask

Select the Elliptical Marquee tool and make a circular selection in the middle of the canvas like shown below. After that, go to Layer, Layer Mask and choose the Reveal Selection option.

Step 3: Spherize

Hold the CTRL button and click on the layer mask to automatically load the selection. After that, go to Filter, Distort and apply the Spherize filter. Use the following details.

Step 4: Inner Shadow

Before playing with the layer styling, first of all, desaturate the textured background. For that, press CTRL U and set the Saturation to -100. After that, move to the layer style option and select the option of Drop Shadow. Use the following values.

Step 5: Outer Glow

Now choose the option of outer glow and use the following values.

Step 6: Inner Glow

Tick the check box titled Inner Glow and use the following values.

Step 7: Shadow

Create a new layer and make a circular selection using the Marquee tool as shown below. Color the selection black and go to Filter, Blur and choose the Gaussian Blur effect. Use the following details. After that, set the Fill of the layer to 70%.

Step 8: Background

Select the background layer and move to Filter option, Render and select the Lens Flare option. Play with the effect and choose one, which blends with the overall image. After that, download a star background and bring it on the canvas. Position the layer above the lens flare layer and change the blending options of that layer to Linear Dodge (Add).

Step 9: Second Planet

Duplicate all the layers creating the first planet and move them in another folder. Transform the image to make another planet. You can play around with certain effects, for example, the inner/outer glow or even the color of the planet itself.

Step 10: Final Touches

Make a new layer and color the entire layer black. Reduce the opacity of the layer and change the blending options of that layer to Screen. You can play around with a number of other effects to add to your composition.

Hello People! Are you in the mood to create some magic today? Well I am. However, let’s not be traditional about it; let’s create something unique and funny. How about creating the magic of ocean out of a magician’s pockets? Sounds interesting, no? I know it does, so before you bring your magic wand out let’s just see what are the ingredients for this magical image of ours. First of all we’ll need a magician (an image of course) which I’ve taken from bigstock, an image of water splash from flikr (rights are reserved to the owner) some gold fish, one star fish from bigstock and a shell and with all these our Photoshop.

Have a look at the finished image before going ahead.

Step1:-
Open up the magician image and make it a layer by double clicking on it.

Step2:-
Open the image of the splash and copy the complete image.

Step3:-
Paste the splash image on our magician background and place it with the help of Move Tool according to the picture shown below. Re-size it by pressing Ctrl+t.

Step4:-
Set the Blend Mode of this splash layer to Exclusion and leave the Opacity to 100%.

Step5:-
Now we are going to change the color of the splash to make it matching to the picture behind. Go to Image >adjustments and select Hue/Saturation.

Step6:-
Set the Hue/Saturation according to the picture given below

Step7:-
Now repeat the process and add another splash to the left side of our magician and change its color too.

Step8:-
Now open up the image of gold fish, cut it out of its background and paste it on our image (as shown below). Reduce the fish layer’s Opacity to 87% to make its color more subtle.

Step9:-
Duplicate the layer, press Ctrl+t to select and Right click on it then choose Flip horizontal.

Step10:-
Place the flipped copied image on the right side of our magician. Add 4 more fish, 2 on each side more.

Step11:-
Open the star fish image and cut it out and paste it on the magician. Place it in a way that it looks like it’s coming out of his waistcoat. Remove the extra arms using Eraser Tool.

Step12:-
Now we will add drop shadow to it. Right click on the starfish layer, go to Blending Options in drop down menu and check on Drop Shadow.

Step13:-
Add another star fish to the man’s hat repeating the same process of step 11 and 12.

Step14:-
Finally we are going to add a sea shell on the hat with the star fish so open the image of the shell cut it out and paste it on the hat.

Hey guys! Today we’re going to play with dolls (kidding ). However, we’re going to make a doll out of a portrait and Photoshop provides us with the perfect tool to do that. The basic thing which is going to be the main key for this task is the Liquefying effect. So let’s just get started by counting the things we’ll need to make a doll face; a portrait image which is taken from the bigstock for this tutorial and with that we only need Photoshop.

Before we go ahead with the tutorial let’s have a look at the final image.

Step1:-
Open up the portrait of the young lady and duplicate the layer to work on. Right click on the layer and select Duplicate layer from the drop down menu.

Step2:-
Now go to Filter and select Liquify. Now select Bloat Tool and set the brush size to 91. Now click on the eye balls to make them bigger as shown in the picture below.

Step3:-
Okay now we’ll perform a nose job . Duplicate the layer and again go to “Filter” then select “Liquify” and then select the Pucker Tool and make long strokes downward on the nose to make it small and pointed as shown below.

Step4:-
Again Duplicate the layer (by creating duplicate layers you can go back and correct if anything goes wrong without disturbing or changing the whole image). Go to Filter and then to Liquify and select pucker tool again to work on the lips. Click on the lips area again and again to make the mouth look smaller as shown in the picture given below.

Step5:-
It’s time to make the forehead rounder and for that again we’ll duplicate our layer and work on the duplicated layer. Then go to Filter> Liquify and then again select Pucker Tool. Now we’ll click on the area of the hair line to make it rounder as shown below.

Step6:-
After the forehead we’ll work on the chin of the girl. We’re going to make it pointed like dolls have. Duplicate the layer, go to Filter>Liquify and then select the Bloat Tool this time. Make strokes downward on the chin to make it pointed. If anything goes wrong you can use Reconstruct Tool to go back and correct it.

Step7:-
Now we’ll make the neck thinner. Duplicate the layer again, go to Filter>Liquify and then select Pucker Tool. Make long strokes downward and make the neck look thinner.

Step8:-
Now we’re going to make the skin clear of any freckles or blemishes or any marks. To do that duplicate the layer again and then go to Filter>Blur>Surface Blur. Then remove the Blur from the layer leaving the face area. This way everything will look real.

Step9:-
Duplicate the layer and then go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation and make the color of the face a bit yellow to give it the look of plastic.

Step10:-
Finally we’re going to give a pink shade to our doll. Create another layer and fill it with Color #f9ad81. Now remove the color from eyes and hair using Eraser Tool. Set the Blend Mode of the layer to soft light and reduce the Opacity to 18%.

There you have it. Your doll face transformation is complete. Hope you had fun with it. Do try and experiment with this technique. Share your thoughts. I’ll be back with another cool effect soon, till then take care and have fun.
